Job summary

Certinum Labs in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking an experienced analytical chemist to build and run our analytical operations as the lab comes online. You will own the science from day one, developing and validating HPLC and LC-MS methods and establishing the quality system.

This hands-on role requires a B.S./M.S./Ph.D. in chemistry or biochemistry, GMP/ISO 17025 experience, and the ability to review COAs, ensure data integrity, and supervise instrument qualification.

Qualifications

• Hands-on HPLC and LC-MS method development and validation to ICH/USP standards.
• Experience reviewing COAs and ensuring data integrity in GMP/ISO 17025 environments.
• Ability to establish SOPs and the quality system; oversee IQ/OQ.
• Acts as the laboratory's technical authority and autonomy in operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate HPLC and LC-MS methods (identity, purity, quantification).
• Review, approve, and sign COAs; investigate OOS results.
• Establish SOPs, quality system, and GMP practices toward ISO/IEC 17025.
• Oversee instrument qualification and day-to-day operations.

Certinum Labs is an independent analytical testing laboratory in Fort Lauderdale, FL, specializing in peptide and dietary supplement analysis — identity, purity, and content — by HPLC and LC-MS. We are seeking an experienced analytical chemist to establish and run our analytical operations as the lab comes online.

Required: hands-on experience developing and validating HPLC and LC-MS methods. This is the core of the role — please apply only if you have personally developed and validated chromatographic/mass-spec methods. You must also be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and able to work on-site in Fort Lauderdale.

This is a hands‑on, ground‑floor role in a newly equipped laboratory. You will own the science from day one — developing and validating methods, qualifying instruments, building the quality system, and releasing results.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and validate HPLC and LC-MS methods (identity, purity, quantification) to ICH/USP standards
• Review, approve, and sign Certificates of Analysis (COAs); investigate out‑of‑specification (OOS) results and ensure data integrity
• Establish SOPs, the quality system, and good laboratory practices (toward ISO/IEC 17025)
• Oversee instrument qualification (IQ/OQ) and day‑to‑day analytical operations
• Serve as the laboratory's technical/quality lead

Compensation: Full‑time, W‑2, on‑site in Fort Lauderdale, FL · $55,000–$80,000/year depending on experience · immediate start.
