Job summary

American Glass Research seeks an Analytical Chemist for its Maumee, Ohio laboratory. The successful candidate will perform inorganic analyses to determine glass and raw material compositions, prepare samples via grinding and homogenization, and follow SOPs under supervision.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and experience preparing analytical reagents and standards, with proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or equivalent education/experience.
• Experience preparing analytical reagents, solutions, and standards.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).

Responsibilities

• Conduct inorganic analyses using wet chemistry and instrumental methods.
• Operate instrumentation (ion chromatography, spectroscopy, ICP-OES, etc.).
• Maintain records of analytical activities and calculations for solutions.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and comply with safety policies.
