Job summary

LinQ Global is seeking a Chemistry Analyst to join the Regional Analytical Laboratory in Thompson Station, TN. The role focuses on chemical and physical analyses to support research, nutritional testing, product development, and quality testing.

You will work with specialized instrumentation, deliver timely results, and ensure compliance with lab safety, ISO 17025, and quality systems. Salary is $26/hour for a 6-month engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Natural Sciences, Food Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related field with an emphasis in Analytical Chemistry.
• 2+ years of experience performing chemical and physical analyses in the food industry or a related industry.
• Advanced education may partially substitute for the required experience.
• Strong understanding of laboratory testing, sample preparation, analytical methods, and documentation.
• Ability to operate and maintain laboratory instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine chemical and physical analyses accurately and in a timely manner.
• Plan, design, and conduct laboratory experiments to evaluate chemical specifications of substances, materials, and products.
• Collect, prepare, test, and analyze laboratory samples while accurately recording observations and results.
• Perform sample preparation, clean-up, separation, and analytical assays.
• Conduct nutritional testing for pre-mixes, pre-blends, mixer studies, raw ingredients, developmental products, and finished products.
• Operate, manage, and maintain laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on laboratory equipment.
• Handle high-risk chemical ingredients (HRCI) safely per procedures.
• Maintain analytical documentation in ELN/LIMS.
• Follow ISO 17025 and Global Laboratory Quality Management System.
