Hexion in Dublin, OH is seeking an Analytical Chemist to join our Research & Development team. The role centers on polymer science, analytical chemistry, and data analytics to support new product development, regulatory compliance, and advanced materials research.

You will lead hands-on lab projects, develop and validate LC/GC/MS methods, manage analytical databases with SQL, and collaborate with R&D scientists across locations. Strong data skills and independent project management are essential.

Formación

• Master’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on lab experience in analytical chemistry.
• Strong mathematical foundation including statistics.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and validate analytical methods (LC/GC/MS) and QC procedures.
• Analyze data with LC, GC, MS, IR, and other techniques.
• Troubleshoot and maintain lab instrumentation.
• Collaborate with R&D to support product development and research programs.
• Manage analytical databases; use SQL for data structuring and querying.
• Utilize LIMS and ELNs to integrate data workflows.
• Handle large datasets from polymer synthesis and performance testing.
• Develop tools for high‑throughput screening and data‑driven design.
• Prepare technical docs, reports, and presentations.
• Travel frequently for collaboration and training.
