Description
We are currently looking for a Financial Analyst to join the Finance team at Circle Medical and focus on revenue cycle management. As we continue to grow, we are constantly searching for exceptional talent to be a part of our team. Location for this role will be somewhat flexible, with offices located in Montreal, and in San Francisco. Reporting to our FP&A Manager, the primary responsibilities of this financial analyst will include analyzing financial data related to revenue cycle operations, identifying trends and patterns, and developing strategies to improve revenue generation and financial performance.
Responsibilities
• Analyze and interpret complex financial data related to revenue cycle operations including billing, account receivable analysis, denials / collections and reimbursement rates by Commercial Payer
• Play a critical role in the development and execution of a revenue analysis process to optimize revenues and prevent leakage
• Establish a reimbursement rate matrix by Payer, Area of Care and service type to perform variance analysis on a frequent basis
• Identify trends patterns and opportunities for improvement in revenue generation and financial performance
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize revenue cycle operations and maximize revenue generation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including billing and coding personnel, to align on, and implement revenue cycle improvement initiatives
• Develop, monitor and evaluate key performance indicators related to revenue cycle management
• Prepare financial reports and presentations to senior management and other key stakeholders
Required Skills / Qualifications
• Degree in finance, business or related field, Master’s degree or MBA is an asset
• 3+ years of experience in progressively responsible roles within financial analysis or RCM
• Exposure to revenue cycle management in U.S. healthcare is a huge asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and summarize key takeaways
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial insights to non-financial stakeholders
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools
• Experience working with Looker and knowledge of SQL is an asset
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams
• Strategic thinking and the ability to align financial goals with overall business objectives
Language Requirements (For Montreal-based candidates)
Our organization is across Canada and in the United States.
The job is a cross-functional role responsible for interpreting complex financial data related to our U.S.-based healthcare revenue streams, collaborating with teams across departments, and producing financial analyses, reports, and recommendations that support strategic decision-making at the leadership level. The nature of the duties requires the use of English on a daily basis, including reviewing financial documentation, interpreting U.S. healthcare reimbursement structures, preparing reports for U.S.-based leadership, and communicating with cross-border teams and stakeholders.
As detailed in the job description, this job involves communicating, both verbally and in writing, with other Circle Medical teams located across Canada and with our international clients and partners in the United States. Our clients in the United States make up the entirety of our client base. Based on an evaluation, we have determined that the duties of the Financial Analyst, Revenue Cycle Management’s position require knowledge of English in addition to French (oral and written). We also determined that the English language skills already required of other employees do not permit the performance of English language skills tasks related to the Financial Analyst, Revenue Cycle Management’s position.
However, in Québec, Circle Medical limits as much as possible the number of positions for which it requires the knowledge of another language than French. Circle Medical solely requires proficiency in English where it is necessary for the performance of an employee’s duties.
Compensation
In alignment with our values, Circle Medical has transparent salaries based on merit-based output levels, and our total rewards include equity options.
This is a full-time, salaried exempt position that includes generous vacation, full health benefits, and RRSP with matching OR 401K with matching. You'll find compensation ranges for the various locations that we are considering below:
• Montreal, Quebec: $77,440 to $96,800 CAD
• San Francisco Bay Area: $82,720-$103,400 USD
• Flexible vacation, eligibility after 90-days OR Accrued vacation eligibility after 90-days
