KSM Business Services, Inc. is seeking an Analyst to participate in all facets of its valuation practice in Indianapolis. The role involves financial analysis, modeling, and company and industry research, with exposure to a wide variety of industries.

You will work closely with managers and partners, and contribute to valuation reports while leveraging valuation data resources and workflow applications in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required.
  • 2–4 years of experience in finance or accounting preferred.
  • Business valuation experience is a plus.
  • Working toward business valuation designation (ABV) or CPA preferred.
  • Strong analytical, comprehension, and problem-solving skills, plus strong verbal and written communication.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Proficient with online research.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism.
  • Ability to work with multiple supervisors concurrently with ease and professionalism.
  • Ability to perform in a flexible, deadline-oriented environment.

Position Summary

The Analyst is involved in all facets of KSM’s valuation practice. The Analyst will work directly with managers, directors and partners, for a broad-based experience in financial analysis, company and industry research, modeling, and valuation of companies and equity securities. The Analyst will also gain exposure to a wide variety of industries.

Responsibilities
  • Gathering information for projects from KSM applications (i.e. DMS, Engagement)
  • Initial financial analysis and modeling for use by project lead
  • Company and industry research
  • Preparation of initial draft of valuation reports
  • Proficiency as primary user of valuation data resources, both online and hardcopy subscriptions
  • Maintenance / oversight of workflow applications
Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
