Job description

LaunchX is a Venture Builder as a Service, driving innovation in strategic sectors such as water, agriculture, energy, and more. We work across exploration, incubation, and scale-up phases, integrating environmental solutions with cutting-edge business models. As an Environmental & Business Analyst (Analyst I), you’ll support project teams with foundational research, data analysis, and operational tasks—helping turn ecological challenges into market opportunities.

Mission

Under the guidance of a Manager or Senior Consultant, you will:

  1. Conduct environmental feasibility studies for new or ongoing ventures.
  2. Research market trends and collect data, supporting strategic decisions with a balanced view of environmental and financial performance.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, business, design) to shape sustainable products or services.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Gathering & Analysis
  2. Compile relevant environmental metrics (e.g., carbon footprint, water usage) and pair them with economic indicators.
  3. Use Excel, Power BI, or similar tools to visualize performance and highlight potential risks or cost-saving measures.
  4. Project Support
  5. Assist in drafting feasibility reports and business cases, ensuring each venture aligns with both regulatory requirements and commercial viability.
  6. Coordinate with the Support Team on administrative tasks (budget tracking, compliance documents).
  7. Market & Policy Research
  8. Examine regulatory frameworks (e.g., environmental policies, industry standards) to identify compliance requirements or potential incentives.
  9. Track competition and emerging technologies in green innovation.
  10. Work closely with Senior Consultants and Managers to refine project methodologies, bridging technical and business perspectives.
  11. Contribute to internal knowledge bases on environmental best practices.
Skills & Experience
  1. Education: Bachelor’s in environmental engineering (or related) + Master’s in Business or management or equivalent. Or major in Environmental engineering and minor in management.
  2. Experience Level: 1-3 years (junior roles in consulting, sustainability, or engineering are a plus).
  3. Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of environmental impact assessments and resource management. Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, basic BI platforms).
  4. Business Mindset: Familiarity with financial principles, ROI calculations, or cost-benefit analyses. Comfort with market research and competitor analysis.
  5. Soft Skills: Strong written/verbal communication skills in English and French. Team player with a growth mindset, eager to learn from senior colleagues.
