Job summary

Horizon Media in New York City is seeking an experienced SEO Analyst to join our growing digital team. You will implement and optimize client SEO strategies, work with analytics and content teams, and deliver actionable insights to improve organic performance.

The role emphasizes day-to-day SEO execution, reporting, education of teammates, and collaboration with other media groups. Knowledge of Google Analytics, SEO tools, and HTML/CSS is valued. Hybrid work and competitive rewards are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in an SEO-heavy environment or with SEO
• In-depth knowledge of all aspects of SEO
• Knowledge of Google Analytics and Microsoft Excel/Office
• Familiarity with industry tools like Screaming Frog, MOZ, SEMRush, Brightedge, Conductor
• Understanding of key search engine ranking factors and keyword research
• Understanding of on-site optimization and ability to deliver within campaign requirements
• Working knowledge of HTML, PHP, JavaScript, or CSS is a plus

What You'll Do

Horizon Media is seeking an experienced SEO Analyst to join our growing digital team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about SEO and marketing technology, have a solid understanding of ever‑evolving SEO best practices and technical considerations, as well as knowledge of best practices in content creation & optimization. The role will report to the SEO Manager and support our expanding team through daily implementation & delivery of SEO strategy to existing and new clients.

• Technical Consultation/Implementation Support/Client Deliverables: 70%
• Reporting: 15%
• Evangelism/Education: 10%
• Assistance with New Business: 5%

The SEO Analyst is the core of our team's ability to implement and is responsible for the delivery of all strategic pieces of our clients' organic search programs. Specific duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Day‑to‑day SEO tactical execution across multiple clients
• Work in conjunction with predefined SEO campaign objectives
• Provide regular client reports and client deliverables
• Perform client work outlined in coordination with other media teams

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 1-3 years' work experience in an SEO-heavy environment and/or specifically with SEO
• In‑depth knowledge of all aspects of SEO
• In‑depth knowledge of Google Analytics and Microsoft Office Applications
• Familiarity/experience with Screaming Frog, MOZ, SEMRush, Brightedge, Conductor, or other industry tools
• A thorough understanding of key search engine ranking factors
• Ability to conduct relevant keyword research and make recommendations
• A thorough understanding of and the ability to conduct on‑site optimization
• Proven ability to deliver within requirements of strategic SEO campaigns
• Working knowledge of HTML, PHP, Javascript, and/or CSS a huge plus
• Experience with local listings management (LLM) and local SEO a plus

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

• Brightedge Certification is a big plus.
• Google Analytics Certification is helpful.

Salary Range

$66,300.00 - $80,000.00

A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based on factors such as individual's skill sets, experience, training, education, licensure/certifications, and qualifications for the role.
