Arena Investors LP invites undergraduates (Class of 2028) to join its new two-year Analyst Program in New York. Start your career directly out of college with no required IB experience, gaining exposure to Real Estate, Structured Finance, CLO, and Corporate Securities.

You will rotate through due diligence, modeling, memo preparation, and post‑closing tasks while building fundamental financial skills. You’ll learn credit analysis, capital structure concepts, and soft skills for a successful

Job description

Arena is looking to recruit talented undergraduate students (Class of 2028) to its newly established two-year Analyst Program. Our Analyst Program is an opportunity to join a rapidly growing alternative credit investment firm, directly out of undergrad, without the typical requirement of 1-2 years of investment banking experience. Analysts will play a critical role in Arena's effort to deploy capital across its fundamentals based investment strategy across Real Estate, Structured Finance, Collateralized Loan Obligation and Corporate Securities verticals.

Through on-the-job experience and regular training sessions, analysts will be exposed to various corporate finance and security analysis concepts including credit analysis, financial modeling, business model and capital structure, and fixed income and equity securities, among others. In addition to finance a security analysis, analysts will also learn important application of law with respect to buy‑side investing as well as establishing critical corporate soft skills for successful careers in the financial industry. Each analyst will serve as a generalist assisting members of the investment team with industry and company due diligence, financing modeling, investment memorandum preparation, and other ad‑hoc projects. Ideal candidates will have a demonstrated interest in finance and investing; thrive in an intense, team‑oriented environment; and be highly organized, self‑motivated, and resourceful.

Requirements

The individual will have demonstrated an ability to work in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment with an ability to think broadly about the business, incorporating continual improvement of processes and procedures with a goal of excellence while focusing on accuracy and efficiency.

• Bachelor's degree from a top university, ideally in a quantitative area (e.g., finance, economics, accounting, engineering, scienceor mathematics).Other majors that are ideal include those that require the ability to communicate ideas well either through presentations or writing (e.g. English, philosophy)
• Excellent Microsoft Excel (VBA a plus) and writing skills
• Experience with financial modeling and transaction structuring / closing
• Thorough understanding of basic financial and accounting concepts
• The highest level of personal integrity, discipline and ethical standards
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic and a desire to work collaboratively across the organization
