    Description

    **This position may have in-office requirements depending on candidate location.**

    Under minimal supervision, performs moderate complexity analysis to evaluate and execute pricing initiatives to ensure profitability on assigned brand and line of business. Recommends and executes pricing and implementation strategies through collaboration with State Teams, Actuarial and Systems partners. Presents state reviews to senior staff and product managers. Provides data and analytical support for rate reviews and ad hoc projects independently. Able to retrieve and accurately use data in support of pricing decisions and project work. Provides analytical and operational support for projects of all sizes and complexity.

    *Please note this is a grade 12-15 range posting (G12 - Sr Assoc Analyst, G13 - Analyst, G15 - Sr Analyst) and level will be determined by the Hiring Manager based on individual experience.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Conducts moderate complexity product analysis under minimal supervision.
    • As subject matter expert for assigned line and brand combinations, completes state reviews and similar work for basic states with minimal supervision or complex states with moderate supervision.
    • Queries data to conduct ad hoc analysis of metrics.
    • Serves as team member on medium-term or moderate complexity projects and may occasionally lead own work stream.
    • Provides analysis to help support business decisions.
    • Provides thoughtful recommendations to state teams on pricing, strategy, etc.
    • Based on strong understanding of how competitor actions impact marketplace, distribution channel and customers, proactively identifies and brings to attention to state teams and managers significant competitor filings.
    • Drive process updates to core rate adjustment work through the self critical evaluation of efficiency and accuracy in the workstream.
    • Contributes to the improvement and development of instructions and training materials.
    • May begin creating and updating training materials, lead job shadows and actively mentor less tenured analysts on the team.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field.
    • Minimum 2 years, typically 3 years or more of relevant experience.
    • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., SAS, Access).
    • Must have good planning, organizational, analytical, decision making and communication skills.
