Job summary

Mariner is seeking an Analyst, Options to join our team in a combined trader and analyst role. You will manage and implement option investment strategies and monitor client accounts.

Responsibilities include researching holdings, tailoring solutions for high-net-worth and institutional clients, and executing trades across asset classes with emphasis on options and equities. Strong Excel, communication, and trading system experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting required; graduate degree/CFA preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in investments or financial analysis.
  • General understanding of common options trading strategies.
  • Experience using Bloomberg, Orion, Moxy or other order/trade management systems preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Generate and execute trades at the account level, investing new accounts and liquidating terminated ones.
  • Rebalance accounts in response to contributions or withdrawals.
  • Execute trades across multiple asset classes, with a focus on options and equities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate trade execution throughout the day, as directed by Advisors.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance trading processes and procedures to improve efficiency and execution quality.
  • Effectively communicate investment solutions and recommendations to advisors, supporting their efforts to serve clients.
  • Provide clear analysis on client accounts and rationale for portfolio management decisions.

Position Overview

We are seeking an Analyst, Options to join our team in a combined trader and analyst role. This individual will be responsible for the management and implementation of option investment strategies, as well as the monitoring and trading of client accounts.

Key Responsibilities
Investment Analysis
  • Conduct research on portfolio holdings, staying current on stock-specific news and events.

  • Manage customized client portfolios in line with investment objectives.

Trading

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
