Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Network Strategy Analyst to maintain supply chain modeling and support the growth strategy of the distribution and transportation network. You will develop datasets for new distribution centers, retrofit and scale facilities, and optimize transportation to enhance performance.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, manage large datasets with Excel/Access, and deliver analyses to guide capacity planning and overall network efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of progressive experience in supply chain consulting, distribution or transportation reporting roles.
• Experience with distribution center operations, network optimization, or strategic planning is a plus.
• Advanced/expert proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Detail oriented, thorough, and circumspect in planning and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to present analysis and optimization results.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Transportation for analyses, network and route optimization, and other transportation modeling.

• Work with DC Engineering to define capacities by processing area and function and coordinate with multiple teams to identify areas affecting the network model.

General Purpose

The Network Strategy Analyst will maintain supply chain modeling to support the growth strategy of the Ross distribution and transportation network, develop and improve the company's dataset supporting supply chain activities related to new distribution centers, retro-fitting and scaling existing facilities, transportation optimizations, and other capabilities to enhance supply chain performance.

Essential Functions

• Manage weekly/monthly reporting to monitor capacity required within the supply chain and identify trends impacting future capacity, including data analysis such as hotel capacity and month end unit reconciliations.
• Conduct analytics and modeling to support ongoing strategic planning of processing and storage functions to meet Ross's evolving business needs.
• Collaborate with Transportation to provide analyses, network and route optimization, and other transportation modeling.
• Manage large datasets using advanced Excel, Access or other data analysis tools; basic understanding of relational databases and data extraction.
• Work with DC Engineering to define capacities by processing area and function, collaborating with DC Finance/Supply Chain Production Planning, DC Operations, Merchandising, Planning and Allocation, Finance, and Stores to identify and manage areas affecting the network model.

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in supply chain consulting, distribution or transportation reporting roles, or related experience.
• Experience with distribution center operations, network optimization, or strategic planning is a plus.

• Advanced/expert proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Detail oriented, thorough, and circumspect in planning and reporting.

Physical Requirements / ADA

No unusual physical requirements. Requires no heavy lifting, and nearly all work is performed in a comfortable indoor facility. Job frequently requires sitting, handling objects with hands. Job occasionally requires standing, walking, reaching, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 10 pounds.
