Job summary

Venture Global LNG seeks an Analyst, Middle Office in Houston, TX to support daily middle office functions for LNG trading activities. You will review daily reports, confirm trades, reconcile data with ETRM, and generate end-of-day and month-end accounting entries for LNG and natural gas.

The role requires 1–3 years in accounting, familiarity with LNG/ETRM, strong analytical skills, and solid Excel skills. Collaboration with treasury and front/middle offices is essential to ensure accurate

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience with a commodity ETRM system is preferred.
• Basic understanding of Natural Gas transaction flow.
• Self-starter with ability to track tasks and follow up with team on status and roadblocks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Self-motivated to investigate problems and digitally summarize for managers.

Responsibilities

• Assist in end of day procedures such as reviewing daily reports, daily trades and resolving discrepancies.
• Assist in confirming transactions with third parties for natural gas.
• Reconcile data from ETRM with pipeline EBBs.
• Assist in verifying accuracy of LNG transactions per executed agreements.
• Analyze PnL reports to ensure accuracy, provide insights and explain day over day changes to support management reporting.
• Generate end of day reports and month end accounting entries for LNG, NG, and financial commodity transactions.
• Reconcile month end entries with ETRM.
• Reconcile and process settlements for Commodity Transactions within the ETRM or other commercial systems working with Commercial Ops, NG/LNG Front Office, Schedulers, Middle Office, and Suppliers/Customers.
• Oversee trade settlements and invoicing processes with pipelines and counterparties.
• Coordinate with Treasury on processing and receiving payments.
• Identify areas for process improvement to streamline processes and automate tasks.

Summary

We are seeking an Analyst, Middle Office to join our Middle Office team. This position is located in Houston, TX and will report to the Director, Middle Office.
