Job summary

The Hershey Company in Memphis, TN is seeking an Analyst Materials Planner to support our plant by executing planning tasks and ensuring material availability to sustain production.

You will collaborate with Purchasing, Production Scheduling, and Quality teams, maintain planning data, and monitor inventory levels, lead times, and shelf life.

The role requires 1+ years in supply planning or related fields; bachelor's degree preferred; SAP experience is a plus; competitive total rewards.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant experience in supply planning, materials planning, inventory management, production planning, plant purchasing, logistics, or a related area.
• Knowledge of inventory management, supply chain principles, MRP, and planning processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• APICS, CPIM, purchasing, or production planning certification a plus.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned supply planning and materials planning activities accurately and on time, following established planning standards and procedures.
• Monitor raw and packaging material requirements, inventory levels, lead times, and shelf life to help ensure material availability for production schedules.
• Maintain planning data, trackers, reports, MRP parameters, and SAP material master information to support reliable planning outputs.
• Communicate material needs, delivery timing, schedule changes, and supply issues with suppliers and internal partners, escalating exceptions when needed.
• Support inventory performance by helping identify opportunities to reduce shortages, improve turns, minimize obsolescence, and support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Production Scheduling, Purchasing, S&OP, Quality, Operations, Accounting, Maintenance, and Packaging Engineering to support new or changed materials and production requirements.

How will you fit in the big picture?

The Analyst Materials Planner supports the Memphis plant by executing assigned planning tasks, maintaining accurate planning data, and helping ensure the right raw and packaging materials are available to support production needs. This role partners with planning, suppliers, purchasing, transportation, and plant teams to support operational continuity in a high-speed, complex manufacturing environment at Hershey, the Sweetest Place on Earth.

• SAP experience in MRP, scheduling, inventory management, master data, warehouse management, or production control preferred.
• APICS, CPIM, purchasing, or production planning certification a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $66,800 to $83,500 per year. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of job‑related factors, including, but not limited to, experience, skill set, education, and training.
