Job summary

Hawthorne Gardening Co. is seeking a data professional to maintain, analyze, and improve master data across Customer, Supplier, and Product domains. You will support day‑to‑day upkeep and lead strategic data initiatives spanning cross‑functional teams.

Responsibilities include profiling data quality, cleansing and enrichment, and assisting in MDM projects such as migrations and system integrations. Collaboration with IT and business stakeholders will be essential to deliver data‑driven solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years SAP Master Data experience.
• Experience identifying data quality issues and applying cleansing techniques.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with IT and business stakeholders.

• Assist in MDM projects and initiatives: data migration, system integration, and implementation of new MDM tools.
• Collaborate with project teams to define requirements and deliverables.
• Work closely with IT, business stakeholders, and data governance committees to define data requirements, resolve issues, and support data‑driven initiatives.
• Develop and deliver training materials and sessions on MDM processes, tools, and best practices; offer ongoing user support.

Compensation

The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $59,700.00 and $70,200.00 per year. Scotts will consider factors such as skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location when determining the final pay. For remote roles located in Alaska, California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Oregon, or Washington, state required pay thresholds will be factored into the base salary.
