Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Corporate Logistics Analyst to identify optimization opportunities across transportation, intercompany movements and backhauls. You will leverage network modeling tools to grow logistics income and improve efficiency.

Applicants should understand procurement and logistics concepts, and be proficient with Excel, Access, PowerPoint and related modeling programs. Moderate travel and collaboration with regional teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have 1–2 years in logistics or procurement related role.
• Preferred 2–4 years in analytics within logistics or procurement.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate network optimization planning using modeling software.
• Collaborate with Regional and Local Logistics Managers for central planning.
• Provide implementation and developmental support for new projects.
• Present data at meetings and conference/Webex calls.
• Travel to locations to review vendor profiles, performance metrics, and audit processes.
• Enter freight rates, carrier information, lane information and other data into TMS systems.
• Route, tender, invoice and process logistics loads.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Corporate Logistics Analyst will identify and recommend management opportunities such as continuous moves, intercompany movements and backhauls to the corporate logistics team and local logistics managers through various network modeling tools in order to grow logistics income.

Must be knowledgeable of procurement and logistics management concepts and familiar with using operations systems with emphasis on Transportation Management. This position will require extensive use of Microsoft Office programs with heavy usage of Excel, Access, PowerPoint and MapPoint as well as the ability to use various modeling programs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Work with Regional and Local Logistics Managers to execute central planning
• Provide implementation and developmental support for new projects
• Will present data at various meetings and events and on regular conference and Webex calls
• Travel to various locations and meet with procurement teams to review vendor profiles, review performance metrics, and audit process compliance.
• Seek out and enter freight rates, allowances, carrier information, lane information and other data within and supporting the TMS systems.
• Route, Tender, Invoice,and Process logistics loads.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
