Position Profile: Deal Pricing Analyst

The Deal Pricing Analyst is responsible for developing end-user pricing for Strategic and Enterprise customer opportunities across Ricoh’s full suite of offerings, including hardware, software, equipment services, managed services, and professional services.

Working closely with the Deal Manager, the Analyst will analyze proposal components and pricing strategies to prepare financial analyses that identify target end-user pricing and resulting margins for each deal component and the overall opportunity. This role leverages existing pricing structures and support programs to evaluate Ricoh margins and identify variances from target pricing and margin ranges.

The Analyst will also conduct financial risk assessments, modeling optimal, expected, and worst-case scenarios for revenue and cost to support informed pricing decisions. Additionally, they will format pricing in a clear, customer-friendly format tailored to specific customer requirements.

This role requires deep engagement with Ricoh’s Marketing and Services teams to understand current and upcoming offerings, enabling the Analyst to recommend optimal deal components based on pricing advantages. The Analyst will also contribute to departmental strategies to improve efficiency, focusing on risk assessment, cash flow, and revenue impacts of pricing structures, and benchmarking against competitors.

Advanced analysis of market pricing trends—including Ricoh’s own pricing and margin data—will inform recommendations to achieve target win rates.

Key Responsibilities

  • Present pricing strategies to the Deal Manager for inclusion in overall deal strategy.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Services Operations to align pricing structures with strategic service goals.
  • Conduct competitive and internal benchmarking to identify target market price points and financial structures.
  • Perform variance analysis on renewal accounts to compare actual results with projections and inform renewal strategies.
  • Maintain and enhance processes for assessing financial impacts of various deal structures (e.g., lease + click, CPC only, subscription, change orders).
  • Consolidate complex pricing proposals into customer-ready formats, including revenue and margin summaries.
  • Create and approve end-user pricing for international accounts and opportunities.
  • Coordinate with Ricoh regions globally to align sales, financial, and pricing structures for international proposals.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to design programs and process improvements in response to evolving customer needs.
  • Strategically allocate price support funds to influence customer behavior while maximizing profitability.
  • Develop commission worksheets to support Ricoh’s compensation processes.
  • Apply price support from RCL and RAC to meet end-user pricing requirements within program guidelines.
  • Strategically position pricing and support with sales teams to meet business growth and profitability goals.
  • Create pro forma deal analyses.
  • Analyze market conditions and historical data to project price points.
  • Prepare win/loss analyses to evaluate expected revenue and profitability.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in pricing or financial analysis.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales or sales support with a focus on pricing.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills in financial and pricing contexts.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Access, or similar database tools (intermediate to expert level).
  • Experience working directly with sales teams in a pricing role.
  • Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

  • Primarily office-based with standard lighting, ventilation, and noise levels; occasional heavy travel may be required.
  • Requires interpretation and application of complex data and materials.
  • Minimal physical effort; mostly sedentary with occasional walking, standing, and light lifting (under 10 lbs).
  • Moderate dexterity required for regular use of tools such as calculators and keyboards.
  • Some travel required (less than 20%).
