Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking an Analyst, Investments to join our corporate finance team in Chicago. The role focuses on financial analysis, due diligence, and market research to support acquisitions, developments, and capital market transactions.

You will work on financial models (DCF, IRR, NPV), analyze operating statements, and prepare investment memoranda for senior leadership. Travel ~10% is required as part of acquisition due diligence and asset management activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or related quantitative field.
• 1+ years of experience in real estate investment banking, private equity, investment analysis, or corporate finance with financial statement analysis.
• Fluent in English to perform duties and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Financial Modeling & Analysis: Develop/maintain complex models (DCF, IRR, NPV) for acquisitions, developments, dispositions.
• Due Diligence & Underwriting: Review third-party reports, legal documents, and financial data; prepare investment memos.
• Asset Management Support: Prepare annual business plans, monitor performance against projections, provide ad-hoc analyses.
• Market Research & Strategy: Conduct ongoing research on senior living industry, capital markets, and economic factors.
• Capital Markets & Transactions: Support capital raising efforts and material preparation for investors.

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Analyst, Investments to join our dynamic corporate finance team. The successful candidate will play a meaningful role in supporting the company's growth strategy by performing in-depth financial analysis, due diligence, and market research for potential acquisitions, developments, and capital market transactions.

Job Description

Pay Rate: $70,000/year

• Financial Modeling & Analysis:
  • Support Senior Analyst in developing and maintaining complex financial models (DCF, IRR, NPV) for potential senior living acquisitions, ground-up developments, and dispositions.
  • Analyze property-level operating statements and financial performance metrics.
• Due Diligence & Underwriting:
  • Assist in the due diligence process for investment opportunities, including reviewing third-party reports (e.g., market studies, appraisals, environmental), legal documents, and financial data.
  • Assist in preparing comprehensive investment memoranda and presentations for the Investment Committee and senior leadership.
  • Evaluate market trends, competitive landscapes, and demographics specific to the senior living sector to inform underwriting assumptions.
• Asset Management Support:
  • Assist in the preparation of annual business plans and budgets for existing assets.
  • Monitor the financial performance of portfolio assets against underwriting projections.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic decisions related to the existing portfolio.
• Market Research & Strategy:
  • Conduct ongoing research on the senior living industry, real estate capital markets, and economic factors influencing the sector.
• Capital Markets & Transactions:
  • Support capital raising efforts, including preparing materials for potential debt and equity partners.

Qualifications

Level of Formal Education: Bachelor’s

Area of Study: Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or a related quantitative field.

Years of Experience: 1+

Type of Experience: Real estate investment banking, private equity, investment analysis, or corporate finance, with demonstrable experience in financial statement analysis and understanding of basic investment return metrics.

Special Certifications:

Language Skills: Acceptable fluency in English in order to perform job duties and speak, read, write, and communicate with all others.
