Job summary

J.S. Held LLC is seeking an Analyst to join the Intellectual Property team. You will develop complex financial models, perform in-depth analyses of industry and technology trends, and prepare reports and client presentations.

You’ll attend client meetings to gather information and support litigation-related analyses. The successful candidate will have a finance or economics background, strong Excel/PowerPoint skills, and excellent communication.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or economics required.
• Academic success – minimum 3.5 GPA.

We are seeking an Analyst to join our Intellectual Property team. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Intellectual Property team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional Analyst. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of the Intellectual Property industry, but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.

Job Responsibilities

• Creating complex financial models
• Performing and synthesizing in-depth industry, technology, and company-specific research
• Writing reports and preparing presentations
• Attending client meetings to collect information for analyses
• Reviewing and analyzing financial, marketing and other documents produced in litigation
• Critiquing opposing parties' economic arguments

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting and/or economics
• Academic success – minimum 3.5 GPA
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• High degree of professionalism, integrity, flexibility
• Exceptional analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in intellectual property valuation, damages analysis, or transaction advisory
• Progress toward or completion of CFA, CPA, or other relevant certifications

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $105,000. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
