Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a Master Data Management Support Analyst II to manage vendor and item set-up across our U.S. divisions. The role emphasizes collaboration with suppliers and internal teams to ensure accurate master data and strong controls.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional work experience in a related field.
  • 1–2 years of vendor management, internal controls, or similar role.
  • Effective written and verbal communication with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
  • Understanding of principles and standards; knowledge of industry practices.
  • Travel typically 10% of time.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary contact for vendors and internal ADUSA teams during vendor and item set-up and maintenance.
  • Coordinate training and communication between internal teams and vendors for smooth collaboration.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to stakeholders and monitor compliance with vendor policies.
  • Support vendor audits, risk assessments, and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Gather vendor master data, prepare management reports, and track KPIs.
  • Analyze data insights to identify areas for action and present to leadership.
  • Contribute to process improvements in vendor and item set-up and maintenance workflows.
  • Identify efficiency and cost-saving opportunities within vendor processes.
  • Participate in vendor-related meetings, sharing insights and updates.

The Master Data Management Support Analyst II plays a critical role in all vendor and item set-up and maintenance activities across Ahold Delhaize USA. This position involves collaborating with various departments, suppliers, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective vendor & item set-up management & controls. This role is responsible for supporting positive vendor relationships, vendor issue resolution & root cause analysis, following control protocols, and supporting master data management strategies.

  • Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD
Essential job functions:
  • Acts as a primary point of contact for vendors and internal ADUSA business teams when support and guidance is needed during the vendor and item set-up and maintenance process.
  • Facilitates communication and training between internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth collaboration.
  • Regularly supports ADUSA functional business areas and vendors on effective vendor and item set-up and maintenance and provides ongoing performance feedback to all stakeholders.
  • Monitors vendor and internal stakeholder compliance with established vendor and item set-up polices.
  • Assists in conducting vendor audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas for improvement.
  • Gathers and analyzes vendor master data, prepares reports for management and relevant teams.
  • Tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of vendor and item set-up, maintenance, and master data support initiatives.
  • Supports the analysis of data insights to identify areas of improvement and recommends appropriate action plans to senior analysts and leadership.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of vendor and item set-up and maintenance processes and workflows.
  • Identifies opportunities to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and overall performance of vendor and item set-up and maintenance.
  • Participates in vendor-related meetings, providing valuable insights and updates.
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our values.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, or related field and/or equivalent professional work experience
  • 1-2 years previous experience in vendor management, internal controls, or similar role
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with vendors and internal stakeholders effectively.
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Attention to detail, well-organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
  • Complete understanding and ability to apply principles and standards. Knowledge of industry practices.
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced environment handling multiple priorities with aggressive deadlines.
  • Requires travel - typically 10%
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Accounting knowledge (Accounts Payable/Receivable, etc.)
  • Internal controls/process improvement background
  • Experience in grocery retail/category management
  • Familiarity with Ahold Delhaize USA systems and processes

ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $63,440-$95,160

IL/MA/MD/NY Salary Range: $72,880 - $109,320

  • a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
