Job summary

The California Department of State Hospitals – Atascadero is seeking an Analyst II in Ancillary Patient Support. The role sits at San Luis Obispo County with hybrid telework, permanent full-time status, and a AM shift schedule.

The incumbent will oversee privacy, HIPAA compliance, and risk management within patient information operations. Responsibilities include QA/risk management, PHI/PII protection, incident response, and privacy program support for the DSH-A facility.

Qualifications

• Eligibility by reachable on a certification list, transfer eligibility, or reinstatement.
• Meet the minimum qualifications specified in the examination bulletin/classification specifications.
• If not eligible, taking the exam is required.

Responsibilities

• Quality assurance and risk management.
• Consultation and technical assistance.
• Updates HIPAA privacy issues with the Privacy Team and recommends resolutions.
• Workload and operational analysis.
• Assist Health Information Manager (HIM) to protect PHI/PII privacy.
