Job summary

Sunoco LP in Dallas is seeking a Fuel Settlements Analyst to join our Operational Accounting team. This role supports end-to-end fuel cost of sales and revenue reconciliation across multiple transportation modes, including pipeline, truck, and marine.

You will manage high-volume supplier and customer invoicing, analyze results, and communicate insights. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years’ experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Power BI, Alteryx, or RPA tools;

Fuel Settlements Analyst – Operational Accounting

Sunoco LP is a growth company which operates within the following three business segments:

Fuel Distribution: Largest independent fuel distributor in North America. Sunoco LP distributes approximately 9 billion gallons of branded and unbranded fuel annually across more than 40 states and the Caribbean

Pipelines Systems: Network contains approximately 14,000 miles of pipeline transporting refined products, crude oil, and ammonia

Terminals: Owns and operates over 100 terminals throughout the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, and Europe

Summary

Sunoco LP is looking for a Fuel Settlements Analyst to join our Operational Accounting team in Dallas. We encourage a culture of inquiry by always asking why, transforming data into meaningful information, and leveraging technology to streamline our processes

The Fuel Settlements Operational Accounting team performs end-to-end accounting and analysis for all fuel supply with various transportation modes, including pipeline, marine, truck, and rail, while ensuring accurate cost of sales and revenue reconciliation. This team is also responsible for bulk sales invoicing, truck transportation, RINS, broker fees, marine charter fees and billing, and the essential duties of this position are designed to ensure that all activities are captured accurately in the general ledger

• Manages daily processes for supplier and customer accounts, and high-volume invoice queues for a portfolio of assigned customers or vendors
• Resolves issues accurately and with a sense of urgency
• Responsible for a high-volume of accounting information moving between multiple systems
• Maintains productive relationships with all counterparties through proactive, effective communication
• Analyzes financial results effectively, providing supporting details and insights that contribute to the company's success
• Exhibits a record of sustained improvement in key metrics and contributes to the success of the overall team

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Experience: 2-5 years

Required Skills: Proficiency in Excel required

Technical Skills: Experience with Power BI, Alteryx, or Robotic Process Automation tools is a plus

Preferred qualifications: Experience with SAP, RightAngle, Sales Force is preferred

• The Associate Specialist/Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience
• The Specialist/Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of relevant job-related experience
• The Senior Specialist/Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of relevant job-related experience

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
