Job summary

Education Advisory Board in Washington, DC seeks an Analyst to join the FP&A team. The role reports to the FP&A manager and offers exposure to CFO and business-unit leaders, with a focus on budgeting, reporting, and financial performance.

The analyst will model budgets, build dashboards, support forecasts, and interact with senior management on financial metrics and strategic analyses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1+ years of professional experience.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Experience with budgeting software.
  • Proven time‑management skills; ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Strong analytical skills using quantitative tools to assemble, analyze, and draw conclusions from business data.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive performance information.

Responsibilities

  • Support the annual budgeting process by modeling and analyzing proposed financial goals at the firm and department level.

The Finance team works with senior executives at the firm to develop budgets, projections, evaluate new investment opportunities, and analyze and report on financial performance for both internal and external stakeholders, including the firm’s private equity owners.

The Finance team is seeking an Analyst to join the team. The Analyst will be a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, reporting directly to the manager of FP&A. This role will also include direct interaction with senior members of the company’s management team such as the CFO and leaders of the business units.

This opportunity is based in our Washington, D.C. office.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support the annual budgeting process by modeling and analyzing proposed financial goals at the firm and department level.

Compensation

The anticipated starting salary range for this role is $55,000 – $60,000 per year. Actual salary varies based on experience, skills, and location. The hire will also be eligible for discretionary bonus or incentive compensation. Variable compensation may depend on individual and organizational performance.
