Job summary

Strategic Education, Inc. is seeking an entry-level analyst to support multiple functions in the Finance area through rotating assignments. You will perform reporting, model building, journal entries, and related tasks to gain broad exposure across Finance.

Qualifications

Entry-level analyst supporting multiple functions in the Finance area.

The primary purpose is to support the group they are rotating through with typical analyst functions, including: reporting, model building, journal entries, or other related functions. The secondary purpose is to bring the skills they learn in each rotational stop to other areas within Finance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Financial Planning and Analysis responsibilities may include: Assist in preparing financial models and forecasts. Analyze financial data to provide insights. Support budgeting processes.
• Accounting responsibilities may include: Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepare accounting reports for management. Support internal controls documentation and compliance.
• Data Analytics responsibilities may include: Collect, process, and clean data from different sources. Develop clear visualizations and reports. Analyze operational data to provide insights. Other duties as assigned.

Job Skills:

• Analytical Skills - ability to dissect financial data, identify trends, interpret complex information, and make informed decisions.
• Financial Reporting - understand financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) and is comfortable with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Work Experience:

Completion of internship with SEI is highly recommended.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics or related field required.

• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
• Typical office setting.
• Mobility within the office including movement from floor to floor.
• Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.
• Must be able to work more than 40 hours per week when business needs warrant.

• Strong mental acuity.
• Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job.
