Carrington Mortgage Services is seeking a Default QA FHA Claims Analyst I to join our team and work remotely from home. You will review FHA Part A mortgage insurance claims for accuracy, complete the claim form, and submit it for filing under moderate supervision.

You will perform quality checks, communicate corrections, document tasks, and ensure compliance with investor and agency guidelines. A high school diploma and 1+ year of mortgage servicing default experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college preferred.
• 1+ year mortgage servicing default experience, QA/QC in another line of business, or college graduate.

Responsabilités

• Review FHA Part A claims for accuracy within investor/insurer timeframes.
• Complete quality checks using a scorecard/checklist to identify errors.
• Communicate correction requests to claim filing team and ensure timely corrections.
• Document system with appropriate tasking and comments.
• Ensure accurate dates and information are recorded on the Part A claim form.
• Review foreclosure/default timeframe to include all extensions on the Part A form.
• Ensure procedures around curtailment of interest are followed.
• Include necessary documentation in the Claim File.
• Finalize and submit the claim to the agency for payment.
• Escalate trends or issues from quality reviews.
• Understand default claims processes for insurers/investors.
• Understand the default servicing process (Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation, Claims).
• Communicate effectively with staff and management at all levels.
• Manage workload to meet deadlines.
• Handle multiple tasks under pressure.

The Default QA FHA Claims Analyst I will, under moderate supervision, responsible for reviewing FHA Part A mortgage insurance claims for accuracy and submitting the claim form for filing. Performs all duties in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures and all US state and federal laws and regulations wherein the company operates. The target pay range will be $22.00/hr - $26.00/hr.

What you’ll do:

• Review FHA Part A claims for accuracy within the investor/insurer timeframes.

• Complete quality checks using a scorecard and/or checklist to identify errors in the claim.

• Communicate correction requests to claim filing team and ensure corrections are completed accurately and timely.

• Document system with appropriate tasking and comments.

• Ensure accurate dates and information are recorded on the Part A claim form.

• Review the foreclosure and default timeframe to ensure all applicable extensions are included on the Part A claim form.

• Ensure company/procedures around the curtailment of interest are followed and enforced.

• Ensure required documentation is included in the Claim File.

• Finalize and submit claim to agency for payment.

• Escalate trends or issues identified from the quality review.

• Moderate knowledge of default claims processes for insurers and investors.

• Understanding of the default servicing process, to include Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Loss Mitigation and Claims process.

• Moderate understanding of Agency and investor guidelines.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and quality.

• Excellent written and oral communication, organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and management both internally and externally.

• Ability to manage work in order to meet strict deadlines.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and changing priorities.

What you’ll need:

• High School diploma required; some college preferred.

• One (1) or more years’ mortgage servicing default experience, or QA/QC experience in another line of business, or College Graduate.
