Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Utilize SOPs and internal credit tooling to ensure minimum approval criteria is met.
  • Review applications to confirm eligibility and required documentation.
  • Perform manual analysis of customer bank statements: total credits, debits, balances, activity, revenue indicators.
  • Reconcile financial information across bank statements, application data, and other sources to identify inconsistencies.
  • Review customer and business information to validate attributes like industry, connectivity, and business details.
  • Collaborate with Risk and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and maintain turnaround times.
  • Respond to internal stakeholder queries regarding status, requirements, and processing updates.
  • Maintain accurate application records, risk data, and daily reporting in internal systems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, data quality, and operational accuracy while meeting SLAs.

About the Role

As a Analyst Credit & Fraud Operations, you will work within the Risk team to support the day-to-day assessment and processing of new customer applications. The role involves performing manual credit operations activities, analyzing financial information and bank statements, reconciling data across multiple sources, and ensuring applications meet established eligibility and quality criteria. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial data, and able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize and follow defined standard operating procedures alongside internal credit tooling and systems to ensure minimum approval criteria is met.
  • Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs), risk guidelines, and internal credit systems to complete application reviews and ensure required eligibility and documentation criteria are met.
  • Perform manual analysis of customer bank statements, including reviewing and compiling key financial information such as total credits, debits, balances, transaction activity, and revenue indicators.
  • Reconcile financial information across bank statements, application data, and other supporting data sources to identify inconsistencies, gaps, or anomalies and ensure data accuracy.
  • Review customer and business information to validate key attributes, including industry classification, banking connectivity, business details, and other required criteria as part of the credit operations process.
  • Work closely with Risk and other internal stakeholders to investigate discrepancies, clarify application information, and ensure applications are processed accurately and within defined turnaround times.
  • Respond promptly to internal stakeholder queries regarding application status, documentation requirements, processing updates, and other credit operations-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate and timely application records, risk data, and daily reporting, ensuring all required information is updated in internal systems and trackers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency, data quality, and operational accuracy, while consistently meeting defined productivity, quality, and SLA expectations.
What we are looking for
  • 2+ years of experience in Credit Operations, Credit Analysis, Risk Operations, or a similar financial services environment, with exposure to credit application processing or new credit product assessment.
  • Strong working knowledge of bank statement analysis, financial data reconciliation, and review of financial transactions, revenue, and cash flow.
  • Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and data quality issues.
Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications or coursework in Credit, Risk, Finance, or Banking would be an advantage.
