Overview

Being good neighbors — helping people, investing in our communities, and making the world a better place — is who we are at State Farm. It is at the core of how we operate and the reason for our success. We’re moving with urgency to become a Next Gen Good Neighbor, with technology that strengthens human connections and enhances the customer experience. As an employee, you’ll spend less time navigating systems and more time applying judgment, empathy, and expertise in the moments that matter most.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive and curious Marketing Analyst to join the Channel Performance team. This role is ideal for candidates with a robust analytics background across paid media channels. The analyst will focus on evaluating channel and creative data to produce actionable insights and recommendations, as well as creating measurement plans, test plans, and learning agendas, alongside reporting responsibilities.

Collaboration and curiosity are essential. This role requires strong communication skills and a naturally inquisitive mindset to understand the current landscape, uncover new opportunities, and partner effectively with cross-functional teams. A core focus of the position will be building and owning the recurring reporting cadence—defining requirements, automating, ensuring data quality, and delivering consistent, stakeholder-ready reporting. The analyst will work with data across various channels and must exhibit a strong passion for continuous learning while actively sharing knowledge and insights to help upskill team members and enhance overall team performance. Proven storytelling abilities and exceptional communication skills are essential for presenting complex data in an engaging and easily digestible format in reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze channel data to generate actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Develop measurement plans, test plans, and learning agendas.
  • Prepare and deliver reports based on data analysis.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional teams.
  • Utilize strong communication skills to convey findings and insights.
  • Demonstrate curiosity to understand the current landscape and identify opportunities.
  • Work with data from various channels to inform recommendations.
  • Exhibit a strong passion for continuous learning and professional development.
  • Actively share knowledge and insights to enhance the skills of team members.
  • Present complex data in an engaging and easily understandable manner through storytelling.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years proven experience in analytics, with at least 2 years of marketing agency experience preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various paid marketing channels and experience optimizing performance.
  • Experience using analytics to optimize paid media & creative performance.
  • Experience with brand lift studies, MTA or MMM.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capability to convert data into valuable insights and recommendations, as well as identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills, both written and verbal, with a knack for making data accessible and actionable for diverse audiences.
  • Self-starter with a proactive mindset, capable of taking ownership of tasks and navigating undefined challenges.
  • Collaborative team player who enjoys connecting resources and working with others to solve problems and achieve common goals.
Additional Skills
  • Ability to learn AWS Services (Athena, Redshift, Sagemaker) and Python for future state analytical need.
  • Working knowledge of SAS and/or SQL is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Marketing principles and leveraging Marketing data to drive decision making.
  • Experience with Google Marketing Platform, Power BI, Datorama and Adobe is preferred.
Items of Note
  • Responsible for the handling and maintenance of confidential and highly sensitive information
  • Involvement in company approved educational programs as applicable for continued development
