Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services Limited in Pittsburgh, PA seeks an API Designer & Analyst with 6+ years of experience to design Rest APIs, Kafka topics, and data models. You will capture business requirements, author Swagger specs, and collaborate across teams using Oracle and MongoDB.

Applicants should be proficient in UML or BPMN, XML/JSON, and postman tooling, and capable of independent work or in a team setting within our technology function.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience as Analyst and Service Designer.
• Experience designing Kafka topics and REST APIs from business requirements.
• Familiarity with Swagger and API documentation.
• Knowledge of UML or BPMN and workflow design.

Responsibilities

• Design and specify Rest APIs, Kafka topics and data flows.
• Collaborate with business to capture requirements and translate into technical specs.
• Create and maintain Swagger documentation and API definitions.
• Work with XML/JSON data schemas, XSD and WSDL as needed.
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Collaborate with teams using Oracle and MongoDB databases.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

• Rest API, Kafka, UML, SQL, Mongo DB, Swagger

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Required minimum of 6 years professional experience as Analyst and Service Designer.
• Should have experience in designing Kafka topics.
• Should have experience in getting requirements from business & designing Rest API.
• Experience in Swagger.
• Experience on UML or BPMN, workflow design
• Working knowledge of SOAP Web Services, XML, JSON, XSD, WSDL, Postman
• Experience working with Oracle, Mongo DB and SQL.
• Should be able to design Mongo Collections & documents.
• Technical writing skills, good oral and written communications and presentation skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Salary Range -$100,000-$110,000 a year
