Job summary

The Analyst at CommonWealth Partners will support asset management, investment transactions, and portfolio management by providing analytical support for existing assets and assisting on acquisitions and dispositions.

This role requires strong Excel and PowerPoint skills, experience with Argus, and the ability to perform market research, cash flow modelling, and prepare quarterly reports within a fast-paced real estate investment environment in New York.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in real estate, finance, economics, or accounting.
  • One year of relevant commercial real estate experience preferred (high performing 2026 graduates with relevant internship experience will be considered).
  • High degree of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Argus experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytic and quantitative abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial work environment.
  • Exhibit a strong desire to grow and learn the real estate investment business.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various portfolio- and property-level analysis of existing national portfolio, including hold/sell analyses for current assets
  • Assist in all aspects of property level acquisitions and dispositions and relateddue diligence efforts
  • Conduct market research of target investment markets and project market trends based on supply/demand models and macro/micro economic forecasting
  • Prepare quarterly reports, strategic plans and annual investment plans

Job description

The Analyst supports the Company’s asset management, investment transactions, and portfolio management groups and will provide analytical support for existing portfolio assets as well as assist on acquisitions and dispositions.

Essential Functions:

  • Create, maintain and update cash flow/financial models using Excel and Argus.
  • Originate new and renewal lease analyses for existing properties.
  • Perform various portfolio- and property-level analysis of existing national portfolio, including hold/sell analyses for current assets
  • Assist in all aspects of property level acquisitions and dispositions and relateddue diligence efforts
  • Conduct market research of target investment markets and project market trends based on supply/demand models and macro/micro economic forecasting
  • Prepare quarterly reports, strategic plans and annual investment plans

Supervisory Responsibility:

None.

Physical Demands:

This is a largely sedentary role that requires walking, talking, hearing, repetitive motion using a keyboard, and visual acuity for reading and viewing a computer monitor.

Travel:

Out-of-state, overnight, and local travel may be necessary for this position.

Education and Experience:

  • Undergraduate degree with an emphasis in real estate, finance, economics, or accounting required.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual salary range for New York, NY: $100,000 to $110,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus.
