The Machinery Condition Monitoring Analyst (MCMA) performs various predictive and preventative maintenance functions on process rotating equipment to ensure safe and reliable equipment operation. These include vibration monitoring and analysis of rotating equipment, thermographic surveys of electrical and rotating equipment, oil sampling, PV analysis of reciprocating compressors, and balancing of rotating equipment components. The MCMA develops and ensures timely execution of repair recommendations to process rotating equipment and manages the programs and tools to do so.
Collects, analyzes, interprets analysis results, and develops and communicates recommendations for the primary predictive maintenance programs including:
Supports incoming parts inspection activities for strategic spare components before they are received into the warehouse for plant use.
Supports equipment overhaul activities, performs failure analysis and evaluation, and completes balancing of rotating equipment components as required.
Supports contracted test equipment calibration and record keeping with contracted work groups, PMC, Contract Coordinators and Security.
Acts as an effective point of contact for interactions with other workgroups on condition monitoring activities in the assigned area(s).
Collaborates with and supports maintenance/reliability engineers, maintenance, operations, and other MCMA’s regarding concerns or deficiencies found on equipment.
Coordinates periodic dialogues and provides guidance to operations, PMC’s, planning, and maintenance to support recommendation execution and to ensure continued reliable operation.
Ensures all machinery equipment is safe and reliable to operate.
Acts as a leader in safety with the ability to stop any and all unsafe work.
Advocates that applicable industry and company standards are followed by everyone in LYB.
A High School diploma or equivalency is required.
Three years of experience in refining, petrochemical or chemical process industries, preferred to be associated with maintenance or operation of rotating or instrumentation/electrical equipment.
Capable of obtaining Level II Vibration Institute vibration analyst certification after meeting the requirements for this certification.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
Strong computer skills with ability to utilize the following computer software: SAP, MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, Meridium.
Willingness to learn and utilize specialty software such as Emerson Machinery Health Manager, Bently System1, and Windrock MD.
Assertive in recommendation of repairs critical to plant safety.
Excellent people skills and ability to work as a team player in a self-directed team environment.
Ability to work across multi-disciplinary and diverse teams and interact appropriately with all levels of the organization.
