Job summary

Nuvoton Technology Corporation America is seeking an Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer in the San Jose, CA area to drive high-precision, low-power IC designs. You will lead design, simulation, verification and documentation efforts across multiple analog blocks, including audio and reference circuits.

The role requires 10+ years in analog/mixed-signal design, strong communication skills, and expertise with Spectre, Verilog, Matlab and Cadence tools.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Analog/Mixed-Signal design experience.
• Good communication skills and ability to finish projects based on general instructions.
• Familiar with mixed signal CAD tools, including Spectre (S), Verilog, Matlab, Cadence Analog Artist/Composer, Cadence Virtuoso, Synthesis & Place & Route tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversees definition, design, simulation, verification and documentation for high precision, low power analog & mixed signal CMOS integrated circuits from general instructions.
• Circuit Design Projects may include working with the analog and logic sections of the following: amplifiers, Variable Gain Amplifiers, Operational Transconductance Amplifiers, Class AB Power Amplifiers, sigma delta D/A converters for Audio, sigma delta A/D converters for Audio, class D Audio amplifiers, low noise switched capacitor or OTA-filters, voltage & current references, PLL, VCO, charge pump & DC-DC converters
• Datasheet specification study & comparison
• Mask layout supervision
• Design & tape-out reviews
• Product or test chip debug, testing and verification
• Interface with and support of the following groups; applications, process technology, CAD, test, reliability, marketing & product engineering.
