Job summary

Emerson, Austin campus, seeks an Analog Hardware Engineering Intern to collaborate with experienced engineers on hardware and software product development. You will be mentored through your project and work term, gaining exposure to design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing aspects.

You will learn to work across circuit design, schematic entry, board layout, and validation, while supporting a full product development life cycle with guidance from your mentor.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's in Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar STEM field.
• Sophomore or above standing.
• Understanding of electronics, computers, and programming.
• Strong interest in learning about digital, analog, RF, and computer technologies.
• Strong proficiency in both frequency-domain and time-domain design.
• Proficient in designing control systems.
• Basic understanding of digital design principles.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred: pursuing Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering or similar STEM field.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Learn professional techniques and perform tasks for one or more of these areas: circuit design and analysis, schematic entry, board layout, or board validation.
• Work and interact with a wide variety of T&M staff in R&D hardware and software organizations
• Develop hardware and software solutions for design validation
• Perform research as required to complete your projects
• Diagnose and debug technical challenges
