Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Senior Engineering Leader for AMRT to drive a global automation and robotics program across the Gas Power Global Supply Chain. You will bridge R&D, process engineering, and shop-floor operations to scale innovative solutions from the AMRT Automation Innovation Lab and external partners.

You will own project prioritization and delivery, ensure safety and quality standards, and lead continuous improvement across the global footprint.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science (Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related).
  • >8 years of relevant experience including substantial experience leading advanced automation projects.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approx. 15% of the time.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship planned.

Job Description Summary

As the Senior Engineering Leader for AMRT (Advanced Manufacturing & Repair Technologies), you will lead a global team in the development and deployment of next-generation automation and robotics solutions across the Gas Power Global Supply Chain. You are a critical bridge between our Advanced Research Center’s Robotics Center of Excellence, Global Process Engineering teams and our shop-floor industrialization and operations teams. You will be tasked with scaling innovation into repeatable, high-impact solutions originating from our AMRT Automation Innovation Lab and external partners.

Key Areas of Impact



  • People & Team Development:Build and lead a high-performing global automation and robotics development organization. You will foster a culture of technical excellence, lean methodology, and rigorous project execution.

  • Bridge-Builder & Collaborator:Act as a primary liaison between R&D, global process engineering teams, manufacturing facilities, and external partners. You will translate complex business needs into scalable technical deliverables that enhance process capability and repair speed.

  • Execution & Operational Rigor:Own the prioritization and delivery of automation projects. You will ensure all systems meet strict quality, safety, and operational standards while driving continuous improvement (CI) across the global footprint.

  • Strategic Leadership:Support the overall GE Gas Power global automation roadmap and plant/repair shop Kaizen Roadmaps leveraging our AMRT Automation Innovation Lab, while aligning w/ Advanced Research Center R&D capabilities to deploy third party solutions to the supply chain and repair priorities.


Basic Qualifications



  • Technical Foundation:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science (Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related).

  • Experience: >8 years of relevant experience including substantial experience leading advanced automation projects.

  • Travel:Ability and willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time.

  • Legal authorization to work in the United States is required. We will not sponsor employees for work visas, now or in the future, for this position opening.

  • Leadership Experience:Proven track record in leading global, cross-functional engineering teams in a complex, matrixed environment.

  • Strategic Integration:Experience successfully transitioning automation technology from R&D/lab environments into full-scale industrial production.

  • Domain Expertise:Deep understanding of industrial robotic systems (Fanuc, KUKA, UR), PLC architecture, and machine safety.

  • Operational Mindset:Demonstrated success applying Lean methodology to manufacturing or repair processes to improve OEE and throughput.

  • Communication:Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams (Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Research Centers, and External Partners) to achieve alignment on complex initiatives.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $131,700.00 and $219,300.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.This posting is expected to remain open for at least seven days after it was posted on August 12, 2026.
