Job summary

RTX seeks a highly motivated Financial Program Cost Controls Analyst to support a multi-year DoD production program in the Air Dominance Portfolio. You will work with PMs, CAMs, IPT Leads, Finance, and OSC to ensure disciplined financial planning, execution and reporting across a complex contract environment.

Relocation assistance is offered; this hybrid role requires both on-site and off-site work. You will shape EAC, cost and schedule analyses and Earned Value Management for a major production

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent experience with 5+ years in related roles.
  • Experience interfacing with Contracts, Operations, Engineering and Supply Chain in program development and execution.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast, risk identification and financial planning with independence.
  • Provide cost and schedule analysis.
  • Coordinate quarterly Estimate-at-Completion (EAC).
  • Provide financial guidance to Program Team and Leads.
  • Prepare finance charts for PMRs, OCs and reporting activities.

The Air Dominance Portfolio is seeking a highly motivated and detail‑oriented Financial Program Cost Controls Analyst to support a major multi‑year effort, including a long‑term production contract and a strategic internal investment program designed to expand production capacity. This position provides an opportunity to contribute to a high‑visibility initiative while working in close coordination with Program Managers (PMs), Control Account Managers (CAMs), Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leads, Finance Leadership, and Operations Supply Chain (OSC) to ensure disciplined financial planning, execution, and reporting across a complex, multi‑year program environment.

The position will support all phases of a multi‑year contract, including initial planning, management of significant internal investments, technology refresh initiatives, obsolescence mitigation strategies, long‑lead material planning, and baseline development through full production execution. This role provides an opportunity to shape the financial execution strategy for a new production phase while building upon an established record of program performance.

What You Will Do

  • The selected candidate will operate with independence and exercise sound judgment in forecasting, risk identification, and financial planning.
  • Provide thorough cost and schedule analysis.
  • Coordinate the development of quarterly Estimate-at-Completion (EAC).
  • Provide financial guidance and solutions to Program Team and Leads.
  • Prepare finance charts for Program Management Reviews, monthly operating reviews, financial overviews and other reporting activities as required.
  • Provide cost, schedule, financial analysis/reporting, funding planning, maintenance utilizing standard company tools and processes.
  • Implementation and Maintenance of Earned Value Management.
  • Provide financial guidance and solutions to Program Team and Leads.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of Contract Data Requirement Lists (CDRLs).
  • Establish and maintain program logs (Work Authorization, Contract Mod Log, R&Os).

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business related field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experience interfacing and conducting business with various functional disciplines (Contracts, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain) in program development and execution.
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word and/or PowerPoint).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
