Job summary

Eastern Lift Truck Co. in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a Field Systems Engineer to support our Warehouse Products Group. You will specialize in AMRs, designing, quoting, and installing material handling solutions for key accounts.

You will collaborate with sales, operations, and technical teams to provide expert guidance on MHE selection, layout planning, automation strategy, and on-site installation, ensuring seamless integration and ongoing optimization.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in MHE system design, automation, or related field, with a focus on AMRs.
• Experience in project management and vendor coordination within the material handling industry.
• Relevant certifications in automation technology, robotics, or project management (e.g., PMP) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• AMR quoting and specification: Develop and refine AMR solutions by assessing customer needs, creating detailed quotes, and ensuring accurate system specifications.
• Installation support: Assist in the deployment and commissioning of AMR systems, conveyors, lift-assist equipment, and other material handling solutions.
• System design and integration: Design material handling solutions that optimize warehouse and manufacturing workflows, ensuring compatibility with existing operations.
• Process optimization: Analyze current operations and recommend MHE solutions that enhance throughput, reduce labor costs, and improve safety.
• Technical consultation: Provide expert technical support on MHE selection, layout planning, and automation strategy to internal teams and external customers.
• Vendor coordination: Source equipment, negotiate pricing, and maintain supplier relationships.
• Project management: Manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations to ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence.
• Compliance and safety: Ensure installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Data analysis and reporting: Monitor system performance and present findings to stakeholders.
