A leading company is seeking an experienced AMPV Welder and Maintainer in Anniston, Alabama. The candidate will perform welding tasks, conduct inspections and maintenance on heavy equipment, and exhibit solid mechanical knowledge. **Job Description**
Experienced and certified welder, along with basic mechanical abilities to be able to perform basic vehicle inspections and maintenance.
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
Certified in Welding with MIG and TIG on Aluminum, steel with the possibility of other types of metal. Various positions to include overhead, vertical, horizontal, flat, uphill/downhill vertical. 1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G. Able to read weld symbols in drawings and put into place in the work being performed. Basic understanding of different welding machines. Confident after minor training to complete a minimum 3-week weld school and pass.
Basic mechanical knowledge of various hand, power, pneumatic tools and use of digital voltmeter. Ability to read and understand basic schematics to employ for basic trouble shooting. Read and understand basic technical manual steps and procedures to be able to perform basic repairs. Able to follow inspection documents and annotate issues found with systems. Able communicate clearly with leadership on ground and peers. Able to function with minimal supervision. Possess basic computer skills using Microsoft applications.
Welding certifications, with a strong background in welding with TIG and MIG on Aluminum and steel. Basic experience and knowledge in maintaining and repairing heavy equipment.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
Prior Military MOS s preferred 63T, 91M, 45T, 63H, 91H, 63D, 91B, 91E, or ASE/Dealership certifications but not required. Experience and ability to perform maintenance on associated tasks related to maintaining power plants, engine fuel systems, air induction systems, exhaust systems, cooling systems, starting and charging systems, electrical and hydraulic systems. The ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues associated with military or heavy equipment. Able to diagnose complex electrical and mechanical issues. Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgement when needed.
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $52955 - $84728

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
