Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of bridge coatings inspection experience preferred.
  • SSPC Lead Paint Removal (C3) and Bridge Coatings Inspector (BCI) Level 1 or 2 are additional qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Travel extensively in the Midwestern, Northeastern, and Southeastern U.S. for extended periods.

Job Title: Senior Certified Coating Inspector (NACE CIP Level 3)

Our $40 million enterprise comprises five business units offering coatings, steel, concrete fabrication, and building envelope inspection, evaluation, and testing services across various markets and industries.

KTA is seeking experienced Senior Certified Coating Inspectors (NACE CIP Level 3) who are open to traveling extensively in the Midwestern, Northeastern, and Southeastern U.S. for extended periods. Ideal candidates will meet the following qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • AMPPSenior Certified Coatings Inspector (NACE CIP Level 3)
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Strong work ethic with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and customer-focused
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Additional preferred qualifications include:

  • 2-5 years of bridge coatings inspection experience
  • SSPC Lead Paint Removal (C3)
  • Bridge Coatings Inspector (BCI) Level 1 or 2

Physical Requirements:

  • Good vision (close, distance, depth, focus)
  • Ability to travel extensively and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Physical ability to climb, bend, crawl, and work in confined spaces and on uneven terrain

We offer competitive pay, excellent benefits including two retirement plans (Employee Ownership ESOP & 401K), and growth opportunities. Salary range: $40-50/hour, depending on experience and certifications. A criminal background and motor vehicle check will be conducted. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S.
