Job summary

Spirit Mountain Casino is seeking a Busperson for the Amore Restaurant. You will remove dirty dishes, set tables with silverware and glassware, and assist waitstaff as needed to ensure smooth service.

The role requires basic cleaning skills, attention to sanitation, and cooperation with team members in a fast-paced food service environment at Spirit Mountain Casino.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent and three months of cleaning or customer service experience, or equivalent.
• Low-security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
• State of Oregon Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Server’s Permit from Oregon LCBO may be required.
• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Health vaccinations may be required per policy.

Responsibilities

• Removes dirty plates, glasses, and utensils; wipes table tops and chairs with sanitized cloth.
• Replaces table linens and sets tables with silverware and glassware.
• Carries dirty dishes to the dishwashing area and ensures empty tubs are available.
• Replenishes supply of linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes; maintains condiment area.
• Maintains sanitation including counters, floor, walls, sink, carts, and beverage service units.
• Assists waitstaff as needed by running food, filling cups and glasses, filling condiments, or similar duties.
• May make coffee, stock supplies and beverages, and clean other areas.

Summary

Removes dirty dishes and maintains clean food service areas in the Amore Restaurant. The intent of this position description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by this position. Employee(s) may be required to perform position-related tasks other than those specifically listed in this description.

Essential Job Functions

• Removes dirty plates, glasses, and utensils; wipes table tops and chairs with sanitized cloth.

Education, Experience, Licenses, Registrations, and Certifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, and three (3) months of cleaning or customer service work experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Low-security gaming license issued by the Grand Ronde Gaming Commission.
• State of Oregon Food Handler’s Certificate.
• If applicable, the State of Oregon Liquor Control Commission Server’s Permit may be required.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Due to the nature of the interactions with other employees and the public we serve, employees may be required to provide documentation of or receive, certain health vaccinations.

Environmental Factors and Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Work is performed in a food service environment, with routine exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or tobacco smoke, and occasional exposure to extreme cold or heat and potentially toxic or caustic chemicals.
• Subject to high levels of noise.
• Work is subject to frequent standing and walking, with occasional sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Work is subject to frequent use of hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Areas of assignment may be restricted to employees under 21 years of age.

Equipment and Tools Utilized

• Equipment utilized includes a personal computer, standard office equipment, box knife, cardboard crusher, and tools and equipment normally used in cleaning and maintaining food and beverages areas such as coffee urns, espresso machines, push carts, trays, bus tubs, utensils and serving plates, telephone, audio/video equipment, and two-way radio.
