Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an ARMO Mechanic I to join our ARMO (Aftermarket Operations) team. You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment, reading blueprints and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues and support maintenance.

The role operates on the 2nd shift (4:00 PM – 1:00 AM) with on-call requirements and overtime. You will document troubleshooting steps, participate in safety programs, and contribute to continuous improvement in asset reliability.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve equipment-related complaints per maintenance procedures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and parts lists to diagnose issues.
  • Support maintenance activities while following safety and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic circuits and electro-mechanical systems to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Use diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi-pot testers.
  • Assist with inspection, maintenance, and repair to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Maintain records of complaints, troubleshooting, root causes, and actions.
  • Record maintenance activities and repair documentation in computer systems.

Responsibilities
  • Investigating and resolving equipment-related complaints in accordance with maintenance procedures.
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and parts lists to diagnose technical issues.
  • Supporting maintenance activities while following established procedures and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshooting hydraulic circuits and electro-mechanical systems to identify root causes and corrective actions.
  • Utilizing diagnostic equipment including multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi-pot testers.
  • Supporting maintenance of electrical systems including three-phase 480V and single-phase 120V equipment.
  • Assisting with inspection, maintenance, and repair activities to ensure equipment reliability and complaint resolution.
  • Maintaining accurate records related to complaints, troubleshooting activities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Utilizing computer systems to track maintenance activities, complaints, and repair documentation.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and maintenance effectiveness.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have experience in mechanical maintenance, industrial repair, equipment servicing, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • Have experience working with hydraulic, electrical, or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring schematics, assembly drawings, and technical documentation.
  • Have knowledge of hydraulic circuits and electro-mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
  • Have experience using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and hi-pot testers.
  • Have familiarity with three-phase 480V and single-phase 120V electrical systems.
  • Have strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Have basic computer skills for documentation, reporting, and maintenance tracking.
  • Have strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Have a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Work Schedule

2nd shift (4:00 PM - 1:00 AM) with On call + OT
