Mercor is seeking an Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physicist (PhD) for a remote contract role. You will evaluate AI-generated physics content, review complex problems, and collaborate with AI research teams to improve training data and model performance.

The project runs 8–10 weeks at approximately 10 hours per week, with compensation of $80–$110 per hour. A PhD, strong publication record, and proficiency in LaTeX, Python, SymPy and Jupyter are required, with English at least B2.

Qualifications

• PhD in atomic, molecular or optical physics.
• Published work on the specific phenomena mentioned.
• A verifiable publication record with three to five representative papers.
• Working proficiency with LaTeX, Python, SymPy, and Jupyter.
• English at B2 or above
