Job summary

DC Army National Guard seeks an Ammunition Specialist responsible for proper receipt, storage, documentation, and issuance of conventional ammunition and related items. You will learn to inspect, modify, and demilitarize various munitions while performing accountability tasks.

You will receive paid training, a monthly paycheck, and access to tuition assistance and VA benefits. Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training and seven weeks of Advanced Individual Training, with time split between

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet citizenship requirements.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Interest in math/science and planning is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operate stock control and accounting procedures for ammunition.
• Perform ammunition supply stock control and accounting duties using automated and manual procedures.
• Inspect weapon systems to determine need for repair or destruction.
