Job summary

Responsibilities

• Perform ammunition inspections for receipt, classification, storage, issue and shipment of ammunition items.
• Inspect ammunition turned-in to determine suitability for further training needs.
• Prepare items for shipment to other depots and/or installations.
• Verification inspections.
• Inspect incoming material for damage in transit, safety, serviceability, and compliance with applicable references; document item markings.
• Identify items using references and communicate with project engineers.
• Demilitarization inspections and transportation related inspections.
• Inspect storage facilities for proper storage, packaging, warehousing, structural defects, cleanliness, ammunition compatibility and compliance with Quantity-Distance requirements or applicable explosive safety waivers.
