Job summary

DFA/Kemps is seeking a Utilities Technician to maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, and compressed air equipment, ensuring system functionality and safety. The role includes documenting maintenance and collaborating with contractors on equipment.

Candidates should have Ammonia Operator 1 Certification and at least 2 years of relevant experience, with strong teamwork and communication skills to work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience directly working with ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration, boiler, and compressed air systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Follow GMP, PPE, lockout/tagout and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain preventative maintenance on ammonia refrigeration, boiler, and compressed air systems.
• Document maintenance records accurately and on time.
• Test system operation using gauges and instruments.
• Dismantle, assemble, and install refrigeration equipment.
• Coordinate with other departments and vendors; ensure clear communications.
