Job summary

Koch Fertilizer, LLC is seeking an Industrial Maintenance and Operations Technician to support the safe operation of our Marshalltown, IA terminal, with emphasis on ammonia systems and safety compliance.

You will troubleshoot, maintain, and operate refrigeration systems, storage tanks, and loading/unloading equipment, while following safety procedures and supporting audits and on-call responses.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
• MS Office proficiency is required.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and operate refrigeration systems, storage tanks, loading/unloading equipment for anhydrous ammonia and other fertilizers.
• Work across ammonia systems including refrigeration, gas-fired heating, instrumentation, PLC controls, pumps, motors, and loading/unloading operations.
• Follow established safety procedures and understand environmental risks associated with handling, shipping, and storing hazardous fertilizer chemicals.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance inspections and support Health & Safety audits
• Respond promptly to on-call requests and emergency situations as needed.
