Job summary

DFA is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to install, repair and maintain industrial and commercial ammonia refrigeration systems in accordance with blueprints and engineering specifications.

You will work with limited supervision, assist colleagues, document maintenance activities, and ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and sanitation requirements.

This role requires 2–4 years of ammonia refrigeration experience, a valid ammonia certification or license, and strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of ammonia refrigeration experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Ammonia certification or license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and perform preventive maintenance on ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Observe and test system operation with gauges and instruments.
• Dismantle, assemble, and install refrigeration equipment.
• Document maintenance records accurately and on time.
• Monitor parts inventory and notify supervisor of low stock.
• Ensure GMP, health, safety, and sanitation requirements are met.
