Candidates with relevant certifications and a strong background in refrigeration systems will be prioritized.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of combined Industrial Refrigeration and/or Industrial Maintenance experience.
• Completion of RETA Operator 1 course preferred.
• Training and certification in HAZMAT required.

Join to apply for the Ammonia Refrigeration Technician role at One Stop Distribution Inc.

Primary Responsibilities: Under general supervision, work independently performing routine refrigeration maintenance and repair throughout the warehouse.

Essential Functions include:

1. Operation, repair, and adjustment of refrigeration systems.
2. Monitoring system performance and identifying issues.
3. Replacing components within the refrigeration system, following LOTO procedures and PSM program.
4. Performing basic pump-out/evacuate refrigerant for valve replacement or repair.
5. Routine maintenance on warehouse equipment per OSHA standards.
6. Testing, maintaining, and evaluating equipment performance using various instruments.
7. Testing and calibrating HVAC equipment.
8. Inspecting work for compliance with blueprints, specifications, and safety standards.
9. Troubleshooting equipment and recommending corrective actions.
10. Understanding key troubleshooting techniques to determine root causes.
11. Conducting safety equipment tests to ensure OSHA and operational standards.
12. Maintaining accurate preventive maintenance and PSM records.
13. Keeping work area and tools organized and clean (6S standards).
14. Performing related work and other job assignments as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of combined Industrial Refrigeration and/or Industrial Maintenance experience, with at least 2 years in industrial refrigeration.
• Completion of RETA Operator 1 course preferred; industry-recognized refrigeration training (Stellar, Frick, GCAP/Lanier) or equivalent considered.
• Industry or Military "Industrial Refrigeration Certification" (e.g., CARO, CIRO) required.
• Successful completion of industrial refrigeration and maintenance courses.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing systems with control systems like Frick/Allen Bradley.
• Training and certification in HAZMAT required.
• Knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• This is a 1st shift position; weekends and overtime required.

Pay rate: $33.00/hr.
