Ammonia and Refrigeration Technician job at Allied Reliability

Location: Fayetteville, AR

Overview:

Allied Reliability is seeking a Refrigeration Maintenance Technician based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The maintenance team is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of plant equipment through problem-solving, upkeep, and repairs. The technician will coordinate preventive maintenance, assess emergency repairs, identify defects, and collaborate with production management to resolve issues. Effective communication of potential problems to Maintenance and Production Line Management is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on plant utilities and equipment.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Identify defects and collaborate with management to rectify issues.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities.
  • Perform line changeovers, start-ups, and shutdowns.
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed, including lockout/tagout.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
  • Other duties as assigned by Maintenance Management.

Essential Knowledge and Equipment:

Basic hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, computers, safety gear, lockout/tagout equipment, and specialized tools relevant to the role.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 year of trade or technical experience in Welding, Electrical, HVAC, Industrial Maintenance, or Machine Shop.
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend at an 8th-grade level.
  • Ability to pass drug, background, and pulmonary function tests.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Arkansas boiler license.
  • Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems.
