Job summary

Northern Trust Corp is seeking an Associate Consultant in the Business Unit Control area to support AML/CIP/EDD/KYC compliance for new wealth management accounts in the U.S. The role emphasizes analytical rigor, strong written and verbal communication, and robust organizational skills across global AML processes.

The successful candidate will review client files for AML conformance, escalate regulatory risks, and collaborate with front-office teams to resolve issues, all while adhering to Global

Qualifications

• Financial Institution Regulatory and Compliance knowledge including AML, CIP, EDD and KYC requirements.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong written communication skills to document work and summarize findings.
• Strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review client files for conformance with AML policies and regulatory requirements for new WM account openings.
• Provide support and knowledge related to AML laws, rules and standards.
• Identify and escalate regulatory compliance risks to Global AML management.
• Perform business-related activities to support Global AML Compliance guidelines.
• Provide support to resolve compliance issues, including actions in response to regulatory exam and audit findings.
• Use existing procedures to solve standard problems and analyze information to make judgments.
