Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced AML Data Governance leader in New Jersey to steer a comprehensive governance program. You will lead a team, set strategy, and drive data controls, reporting excellence, and risk-management practices across the organization.

You will collaborate with executives, auditors, and regulators to ensure regulatory alignment, translate analytics into actionable business insights, and advance continuous improvements in data pipelines, BI, and governance processes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant AML data governance experience.
• Extensive AML/financial crimes regulatory reporting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of data controls to mitigate AML risk.
• Understanding of how data enables AML capabilities and use cases.
• Advanced knowledge of source-to-consumption data pipelines, data lakes, and ETL.
• Familiarity with the Three Lines of Defense in risk management.
• Strong storytelling, writing, and executive presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritize regulatory requests.
• Undergraduate degree or advanced technical degree preferred.
• Graduate degree with progressive project work preferred; or 7+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and oversee a team supporting AML Data Governance.
• Provide strategic and day-to-day direction for AML governance activities.
• Oversee reviews for regulatory alignment and serve as escalation point.
• Coordinate with auditors and regulators during audits and examinations.
• Lead reporting and BI teams responsible for reports and data extracts.
• Direct hiring, performance management, and staff development.
• Lead enterprise governance, control, remediation, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Coach direct reports and foster continuous improvement and collaboration.
• Bridge analytic outputs with business insights through data visualization.
