Job summary

Elliott Davis is seeking an AML Associate to support the Financial Services Group in performing AML-focused audit procedures and evaluating client controls related to BSA/AML compliance. The role emphasizes regulatory knowledge and analytical rigor within a CPA firm setting.

The position involves collaborating with the team to assess risks, maintain documentation, and stay current with AML developments, while contributing to broader audit engagements.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of AML experience in a bank, consulting firm, or financial services institution.
• Familiarity with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, and relevant FinCEN guidelines.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance platforms.
• CAMS certification is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the execution of AML-focused audit procedures, including reviews of CIP, KYC files, and Beneficial Ownership documentation.
• Evaluate client controls related to Transaction Monitoring, SARs, and CTRs.
• Evaluate multiple BSA/AML models to assist clients with model complexities and ensure system functionality.
• Support audit documentation and reporting related to AML controls and risks.
• Research and analyze new regulatory developments related to AML compliance.
• Help evaluate the effectiveness of policies and procedures, making recommendations to align with best practices.
• Partner with team members to provide insight into AML-related risks during audits.
